Transport Canada, Civil Aviation conducts flight instructor refresher courses at various locations across the country.

Any holder of a class 1, 2, 3 or 4 flight instructor rating, is eligible to apply for a course, provided that their rating is valid (not expired) at the time the course begins. "Successful completion" will result in a renewal of the flight instructor rating. Instructors will be selected to attend each course from the applications received. Although there is no fee for the course itself, there will be a $30.00 administration fee for instructor rating renewal and course members will be expected to make arrangements and pay for their own travel, meals and accommodation.
