The drive from Davis Inlet to Natuashish takes up to an hour on snowmobile.

Families are moving their belongings in komateks attached to the back of their snowmobiles.

On a clear day, in -30 degree weather, this family is moving to their new home in Natuashish

The first of the families started moving into their new homes in Natuashish on December 14, 2002.

New homes include all amenities that most Canadians take for granted.

The new school in Natuashish, for children in grades Kindergarten to 12, is equipped with all of the modern technologies.

This 4400 square meter school includes a large gym, stage, drama room, life sciences kitchen, day care centre and a playground.

The now complete Natuashish Health Centre is home to health and social services for the community.

This 350 square meter police station will house the community police force.

The Natuashish Band Council office under construction.

The Natuashish Fire Hall will be home to the local fire department and will house two fire fighting vehicles.

The Natuashish Community Garage is the site of the community

Natuashish Diesel Power Plant produces electricity by diesel generators and distributes it to the community.
