Welcome to the Summer/Fall 2005 issue of Aboriginal Planet!
In this edition of Aboriginal Planet, we criss-cross the globe starting in BC to bring you a visit to the Nisga'a Nation by the Vietnamese government and the 2nd International Indigenous Youth Conference. South of the border, we feature First Nations/First Features: a showcase of Indigenous Film and Media at the Museum of Modern Art in New York. Across in Europe, two stories involve Norway: One highlights Canada’s gift of an Inuksuk to commemorate Norway's centenary; while the other features work by Ed Shultz to share the Canadian experience in settling land claims. We also have a story from the North on Canadian Governor General Adrienne Clarkson becoming Patron of the Arctic Circumpolar Route. And finally, we finish our journey in China with "Culture on Cloth," an exhibition of fine Inuit wall hangings, and a related roundtable dialogue held at the Yunnan Ethnology Museum. We hope you will enjoy the trip!
