Accessibility Notice

National Aboriginal Day (NAD) 2006 will be upon us soon, and we would like to take this opportunity to invite your organization to take part in marking the celebration in your community. Since 1996, June 21st has signified an important day for Canadians across the country to celebrate the unique and vital contributions of Aboriginal people. 2006 marks the 10th anniversary of National Aboriginal Day, so we encourage you to make this year's celebration the biggest!

In order to help your organization celebrate NAD, Indian and Northern Affairs Canada (INAC) awards funding to a maximum of $1,000 (exclusive of GST) for successful proposals. INAC cannot guarantee funding to all proposals, but will strive for a fair distribution within available resources. To maximize resources and your eligibility for funding, INAC encourages your organization to partner with neighbouring Aboriginal or non-Aboriginal communities, or local businesses, to develop joint activities or events.
