Canadian Aboriginal Fall in Mexico
The lives and experiences of Aboriginal Peoples in Canada were celebrated this fall throughout Mexico City and the province of Oaxaca in a month long programme of cultural, academic, and political events. The first festival of its kind, the Otono Canadiense Indigena (Canadian Aboriginal Fall) highlighted Canadian Aboriginal writers, singers, artists, film makers, academics, and political leaders, providing a space for a Mexican audience to see, listen, discuss and above all learn about the Canadian Aboriginal experience.
