Labour & Immigration Minister Nancy Allan

Welcome to our Website. We are very proud of our diverse, multicultural province. We invite you to explore this site for useful information about immigration to Manitoba.

Manitobans come from all parts of the world. We each bring our own special heritage and experiences and together we form a dynamic, culturally rich community. The province takes an active role in immigrant recruitment and selection to address regional economic and labour market needs and skill shortages.

If you are considering coming to live and work in Manitoba, this site will assist you. If you have recently arrived, this site contains useful information on services for newcomers, learning English and Manitoba's multicultural mosaic.

This site is hosted by the Immigration and Multiculturalism Division of Manitoba Labour and Immigration. The Division accepts and processes immigration applications and nominates people with the potential to establish successfully in Manitoba. We do this through the Provincial Nominee Program. The Division develops programs and services to help immigrants and refugees find the resources they need to settle into the social and economic life of Manitoba.

This Division also identifies issues affecting the multicultural community and ensures the principles of The Manitoba Multiculturalism Act are reflected in government priorities and activities.

I hope this Web site will help you and your family choose Manitoba as a destination and help you to settle here. Immigrants have built our province into a strong and diverse community. We continue to invite people of all origins to build with us for a better tomorrow.
