Learning French in Québec

The Québec government assigns great importance to learning French.

In Québec, courses in French as a second language are available free of charge in several formats. Financial aid is granted by the Ministère de l’Immigration et des Communautés culturelles (MICC) under certain conditions.

If your situation does not allow you to take a French course in class, a flexible self-training course in French as a second language is provided in our self-training centres.

  USEFUL INFORMATION
In addition to classroom courses offered by the MICC and its partners, a wide range of French as a second language courses is available to the public in Québec. You can decide to study at your expense in a school near you or on line.
