Information Session - Halifax

  Brad Anguish
Director of Environmental Management Services
Halifax Regional Municipality

Born in Brantford, Ontario, Brad enrolled as a marine engineering officer in the Canadian Navy in 1982. Since then, he has served in many staff and command positions throughout Canada. For the past six years, Brad has worked as a senior manager in the local ship repair facility where he was responsible for several portfolios that included strategic management, business process
re-engineering, project management, and information systems implementations. He has a proven track record of leading diversely skilled staff in the successful completion of complex projects.

Brad’s keen interest in environmental stewardship came early in his career when he was a project manager responsible for researching environmental legislation to develop an effective compliance strategy for Canada’s Navy. In this capacity, he implemented sufficient environmental protection equipment to ensure federal and international compliance requirements were met or exceeded. He has since furthered environmental compliance within HRM by initiating formal environmental procedures for the Atlantic Fleet.

Brad is certified as a professional engineer (PEng) and a professional project manager (PMP). He graduated from Royal Military College in 1987 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and completed advanced marine engineering studies in Manadon, England in 1998. Brad is also a graduate of Saint Mary’s University, having achieved a Master of Business Administration degree.
