Viewing Your Search Results

After you type your search terms and click on Search, a screen will appear with search results. This page can look different depending on the type of search you use.

Note: You can click the History button from the menu at the top centre of any search screen to view the searches you have already done.

Keyword and Expert Search Results

A Keyword or Expert search produces a list of available titles with information such as title, author and publication information.

Three views of the record's information are available:

• Click on the Items link to get information on location, call number, and availability of item.
• Click on the Full link to get a more detailed view of the item, including publication and subject information.
• Click on the MARC link to view the library metadata record of the item.

To navigate the list of title links, click:

• the First Set link to go to the first set of records in the search
• the Last Set link to go to the last set in the search
• the Previous Set link to go the set preceding the current page
• the Next Set link to go the set of records immediately after the current page.

You can click on the hyperlinked author, title, publication information and other links for more information, or choose to save the item to your Cart by clicking Select to Add Record to Cart and then Save to Cart. Saving items to your Cart will allow you to email or print these items later.

Browse Search Results

A Browse search produces a Scan Term list which includes the closest matches to your search phrase, making it easy to scan if you are searching by subject, or browse if you are trying to find a specific author or title. The closest match to your term will be at the top of the list. Beside each related term is the Hit Count, or number of titles associated with that term.

You can browse backward and forward through the list, by sets of 1, 10, 20 or 30 records.

You can click on Full, Items or MARC link to get more information on that item:

• Click on the MARC link to view the library metadata record of the item.
