Part of the Treaty Policy Directorate's mandate is to promote awareness and deepen knowledge of Historic Treaties in Canada. With those goals in mind, an Historic Treaties Resource Centre was created to assist researchers, civil servants, academics, First Nation Peoples and the general public. Located in the Treaty Policy Directorate's offices, the Centre is a repository of a treaty specific document collection. The Centre, its collection and its finding aids are open to the public.
