Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) Liaison Section

Role

The RCMP Liaison Officer represents the interest of the International Operations Branch (IOB) of the RCMP in 20 African countries to which he is accredited.

He provides support and assistance to Canadian Law enforcement agencies in the prevention and detection of offences to Canadian federal laws, liaises with foreign criminal agencies and related institutions, and coordinates the activities related to Interpol. He reports to RCMP Headquarters in Ottawa on matters pertaining to Canadian national security and organized crime issues.
