Transport Canada has assigned the Canadian Air Transport Security Authority (CATSA) the responsibility for ensuring the security of the travelling public. Transport Canada regulates and monitors the performance of CATSA, while the authority ensures service delivery.

Information for passengers such as guidelines on products that must not be brought on board an aircraft as carry-on baggage, air safety tips and how to file a complaint about an airline, can be found on the national web site.

You will also find information on the transportation of dangerous goods, emergency preparedness, and Transport Canada’s role in air accidents.
