The CommunAction.ca Internet site was developed to inform Canada's official language minorities of the programs and services delivered by Industry Canada and FedNor, as well as several other federal organizations and departments, including the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency, Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions and Western Economic Diversification Canada. Its search engine provides quick access to resources specific to a given region or clientele.

Official Languages Branch
The Official Languages Branch is responsible for overseeing that federal institutions serve Canadians in the official language of their choice, create and maintain a work environment conducive to the effective use of both official languages, and provide equal employment and advancement opportunities to English-speaking and French-speaking Canadians within the Public Service.

Official Languages Support Programs
The Department of Canadian Heritage has the mandate to foster the recognition , learning and use of English and French in Canadian society as a whole or, more specifically, to enhance the vitality of the official-language minority communities throughout Canada as outlined in Sections 41 and 42 of the Official Languages Act.
