InfoPEIHOME / GOVERNMENT / PROVINCIAL / MINISTRIES / HEALTH / RECRUITMENT / Bachelor of Nursing Student Sponsorship Program Student sponsorships will assist students with employment and tuition costs, and produce further assistance to the health facilities to secure more new nursing graduates. Full-time nursing students who will be, during the 2006-2007 academic year, entering either their third or fourth year of a Bachelor Degree in Nursing Program are eligible to apply for sponsorship. This program provides them with assistance in the amount of $2,400 per academic year. Students who wish to work in a rural location and have indicated so on their application may be eligible for an Enhanced Rural Sponsorship of $3,000 per academic year. In return, students will be required to work on P.E.I. for one year for each year of Sponsorship following graduation from a recognized Canadian University School of Nursing Program and registration with the Association of Registered Nurses of PEI (ARNPEI).
