Project Information

Jericho Diamond Project

Operator: Tahera Corporation
Location: 350 km SW of Cambridge Bay

Jericho is located at the north end of Contwoyto Lake, about 350 km southwest of Cambridge Bay. The kimberlite deposit is located on Crown Land, though parts of the proposed mine would be located on land with Inuit-owned surface rights.

Doris North Gold Project

Operator: Miramar Hope Bay Limited (Miramar Mining)
Location: 160 km SW of Cambridge Bay

Miramar Hope Bay Ltd. plans to construct and operate an underground gold mine and mill (the "Doris North Project") on Inuit Owned Land, surface and sub-surface, at the north end of Doris Lake, about 160 km southwest of Cambridge Bay in the West Kitikmeot Region.


Bathurst Inlet Port & Road Project
Operator: Nuna Logistics and Kitikmeot Corporation
Location: 290 km SW of Cambridge Bay (port facility)

The Bathurst Inlet project extends from a port facility on the west side of Bathurst Inlet, approximately 290 km southwest of Cambridge Bay, to near the Northwest Territories territorial border at Contwoyto Lake.

Meadowbank Gold Project

Operator: Cumberland Resources Ltd.
Location: 70 km N of the Hamlet of Baker Lake

The Meadowbank Gold Project consists of five gold deposits located on Inuit owned land (IOL). Four open pit mines and some underground mining are envisioned for the project.
