Proposed Amendments to Royalty Regulations

The scope of the Frontier Lands Petroleum Royalty Regulations regulatory review is to strengthen royalty accountability and royalty assurance without changing the fundamental policy and philosophy that guide the regulations and the Canada Petroleum Resources Act .
This fundamental policy and philosophy relates to the need for a profit
and investment sensitive royalty regime that encourages northern petroleum activity.
