Our mandate is to provide the citizens of Ontario, and other Canadians and visitors traveling through Ontario, with a sustainable transportation system - one that is safe, efficient and environmentally responsible.
Transport Canada officials work with transportation providers, other levels of government and stakeholders to ensure that all parts of the transportation system work in an integrated manner to achieve this mandate.
Regardless of the pressures, it is imperative all of us in the transportation sector maintain the safe passage of ever-increasing volumes of passengers and freight across Ontario by air, rail, water or road and we work together to find solutions for the challenges that lie ahead.
