The Civil Aviation
Directorate is responsible for the development and enforcement of aviation regulations and
monitoring of the air navigation systems. Inspections and audits are performed to ensure
industry compliance with the regulations.
Pacific Region Civil Aviation is responsible for delivery of programs to certify and
register aircraft, control foreign and domestic air cargo and passenger operators, and to
oversee certification and training of aviation personnel.
Civil Aviation Branch includes: Aerodrome Safety, Air Navigation Services & Airspace,
Aircraft Certification, Aviation Enforcement, Aircraft Maintenance & Manufacturing,
Civil Aviation Medicine, Commercial & Business Aviation, General Aviation,
Quality Assurance and Review, and System
Safety.
