Provincial Parks
Prince Edward Island's network of Provincial Parks has 11 camping parks and 14 day use parks which offer
spectacular beaches, beautiful scenery,
nature trails and lots of outdoor recreation and interpretive programs.
Our campground parks offer facilities for overnight camping, as well as general recreational
use and our day use parks are a wonderful place for swimming, outdoor sports, picnics and other outdoor experiences.

Operating schedules and fees are set each spring for each individual Park. It is best to check this page
after May 1st to confirm operating schedules and camping fees.
All Provincial Park Campgrounds have the same fee structure. Daily rates are $21.00 - $22.00 for an unserviced site,
$24.00 - $25.00 for a two way site (electricity and water), and $27.00 - $28.00 for a three way site (electricity, water, and sewer).
Visa, MasterCard and Interac cards are now accepted at all campgrounds. There is a 10% discount
for seniors aged 60 and over. All day use parks are free of charge.
All Prince Edward Island Provincial Campgrounds will be accepting reservations after April 1st for the
following season. You can make reservations by calling the individual Provincial Parks directly weekdays between 8:00
a.m. to 4:00 p.m AST. You'll need to provide the following information to make a reservation: phone number, arrival
date, length of stay, name, address and type of campsite required. A valid Visa or Mastercard number and expiration
date are required to guarantee a reservation.
PEI's Provincial Parks offer something for everyone while promoting an active outdoor lifestyle.
Parks West is responsible for the operation of six fully functional campgrounds and six day use parks ranging from
Jacques Cartier, located west of Alberton, to
Bonshaw in Queens County.
Four of the larger parks, Jacques Cartier, Mill River,
Cedar Dunes and Cabot Beach, offer a full slate of educational and interesting programs
in addition to daily programming and supervised swimming. Some of the more popular events include Seniors Day, Art in the Park, Kids Day, Take a Hike nature hikes,
Beach Volleyball Tournament, Rediscovery Day at Jacques Cartier and a whole host of festivals including
Summer Celebrations at Cabot Beach.
All of the above mentioned parks also have a naturalist on staff who provides an opportunity for visitors to
learn more about the area they're visiting - whether it be local wildlife and their habitat, marine life or trees and plant life - while exploring the natural beauty of the Island.
All of these parks have lifeguards on duty for camper and visitor safety. Mill River also maintains a fully functional marina.
All of our day use parks provide a wide range of playground equipment, picnic shelters and washroom facilities,
making them an ideal family fun destination. Two day use parks also have lifeguards on duty: Chelton Beach and Basin Head.
Parks East is responsible for the operation of five fully functional campgrounds and six day use parks ranging from
Red Point, located east of Souris, to
Wood Islands Provincial Park.
Panmure Island, Brudenell,
Red Point, Northumberland and Kings Castle
offer a full slate of interesting educational programs in addition to daily programming. Some of the more popular events include
Seniors Day, Kids Day, Family Fun Day and the Highland Games at Lord Selkirk.

Red Point have lifeguards on duty for camper and visitor safety. Brudenell also maintains a fully functional marina.
