City of Charlottetown Municipal Elections

Municipal elections are held in the City of Charlottetown every four years on a fixed election date on the first Monday of November. The city is divided into 10 wards [maps and locator], each represented by one Councillor. A city-wide election is held for Mayor.

2006 Municipal Elections

Municipal elections were held in the City of Charlottetown on November 6, 2006. Councillor Results and Mayoral Results are available. Nominations closed on October 13, 2006 and a list of nominated candidates is available.

Municipal By-election in Ward 9 Stonepark

On September 12, 2005 Charlottetown City Council passed a resolution calling for a by-election in Ward 9 Stonepark for October 24, 2005. Elections P.E.I. oversaw and ran the by-election. Roberta Smith acted as Ward 9 Stonepark Returning Officer.

City of Charlottetown Electoral Boundaries Commission

In August 2004 the Commission delivered its report to City Council and the City of Charlottetown released the Charlottetown Electoral Boundaries Report to the public on January 28, 2005.
