Where can I find information about obtaining grants for non profit organizations operating in the health and social services sector?
The Department of Health and Social Services and the four Regional Health Authorities provide annual grants to approximately 30 private, non-profit agencies operating in the health and social services sector. The recipients of the services are primarily people who are intellectually challenged, have a physical or psychiatric disability, or are victims of family violence. The Department provides grants to those agencies which have a province-wide mandate. The Regional Health Authorities provide funding to those agencies which have a regional focus.
