Here are just some of the many resources for finding investors on the World Wide Web. Web sites change and new ones spring up constantly, so be sure to repeat your searches every so often.

Government Resources

• Industry Canada's Sources of Financing is a large, searchable database.
  
• The Business Development Bank of Canada offers financial and consulting services for small and medium-sized businesses.
  
• Economic development organizations exist at the provincial, regional and local levels. Start with your provincial government's Web site or try Managing for Business Success.

Venture Capital Directories and Associations

• Canadian Venture Capital Association (CVCA) provides a list of members, links to their sites, statistics and more.
  
• Réseau Capital is the Quebec Venture Capital Association.
  
• Pratt's Guide to Venture Capital Sources (available in print at libraries and bookstores) is one of a number of venture capital directories.
