An active, continuing public education program is designed to heighten general public awareness of the potential hazards of rail/highway grade crossings and trespassing on railway property.

A partnership between government, railways, safety organizations, police, unions and community groups. Its objective is to reduce grade crossing collisions and trespassing incidents by 50 per cent by the year 2006.

The Institute develops training programs for community colleges delivery for specific occupations in rail. It is wholly owned by the RAC.

A one-stop resource to bring together Canada’s exciting tourist opportunities. It is jointly sponsored by the Canadian Tourism Commission and the RAC.

To enable better communication between all the parties involved, the RAC and the Federation of Canadian Municipalities have developed this information base of railway and municipal contacts, and proximity related reference information.

The Canadian Railway Hall of Fame honours Canadian achievement in the railway business — specifically related to the development and on-going role of Canada’s vibrant railway industry. It fulfills a need to recognize various technology, communities and individuals that have been instrumental in the development of this vital Canadian transportation system.
