For your PDA
The Island in the palm of your hand...
If you've got a Palm-compatible personal digital assistant (i.e. a PalmPilot, a
Handspring Visor, an IBM WorkPad) or a device using Windows CE, you can
download the maps and information files and install them on your PDA to help you navigate
Prince Edward Island during your trip here.
(PalmOS 3.0 or later and Windows CE)
We have supplied a list of pre-made map images for you to download.
For PalmOS 3.0 and greater we recommend the free Vikao software for viewing selected maps, images and
text. Vikao is available for download at the author's
site. Instructions for using the software are available at the author's site also. In addition to these supplied
maps, images or selections of text can also by copied onto your Palm using the Vikao software.
For Windows CE users, we recommend either the free DAVA Image Viewer or free RPhoto
(JPEG only) for image viewing. For detailed images that may contain text, such as maps, we recommend RPhoto. DAVA is
available from the author's site. RPhoto is also
available from our website.
(For PalmOS earlier than 3.0 only)
To view the maps below, you'll need a graphics viewing application for your PDA. We recommend
TinyViewer, which you can download from our website. This is a free program which uses
only 7K of your PDA's memory, and works with early PalmOS versions, back to the original Pilot 1000 and Pilot
5000.
