The Tshikapisk Foundation was set up by a group of Innu in 1997 to promote their culture and safeguard their land. It offers you a unique opportunity to experience the largest pristine wilderness area in North America by sharing, and supporting, the life of the indigenous Innu people who know it most intimately. As a guest you will stay in an Innu camp deep in the interior of Labrador, Canada and will participate in the daily activities of a living hunting culture, joining, if you wish, a team of Innu and Smithsonian archaeologists investigating the human history of the region.
