The first seven are the priority areas identified in Sustainable Development in Government Operations: A Coordinated Approach, namely: Energy Efficiency, Human Resources Management, Land Use Management, Procurement, Vehicle Fleet Management, Waste Management and Water Conservation and Wastewater Management. The eighth topic, Environmental Management Systems, involves an organizational framework for departments to address the priority areas.
