Environmental Monitoring Division - Atlantic

The Environmental Monitoring Division of the Meteorological Service of Canada - Atlantic is part of a national service and adheres to a world-wide system of well established programs and standardized practices.

The division manages networks to monitor atmospheric parameters, marine conditions, and fresh water flow. Data is collected on land, at sea, and in selected streams and rivers across Atlantic Canada. The Environmental Monitoring Division is responsible for the installation, operation, inspection, maintenance and repair of various monitoring instruments and the selection of network sites. Staff work locations vary from offices to workshops to field work.
