RésEau - Water Quality
Different organizations monitor water quality for various reasons including:
  • assessing the effectiveness of pollution control programs
  • detecting emerging problems
  • designing and locating treatment facilities
  • responding to emergencies such as accidents and spills

Our waters are monitored by the federal government, provincial governments, municipalities, universities, conservation authorities, volunteers and many others.

Through RésEau demonstration efforts, you can discover and access data dynamically from a selection of different monitoring programs across Canada. Access the tools below to search and explore data made available through the RésEau demonstrations.

Water managers can access a number of specialized science tools including VMV code services and documentation of laboratory methods.
