Marine synopsis for Labrador issued by Environment Canada at 9.30 PM 
NST Saturday 9 December 2006.
The next scheduled synopsis will be issued at 4.00 AM.

  An intense low pressure system east of the district will give gale 
to storm force northwesterlies to the district this evening.
These winds will diminish tonight over western waters and Sunday 
morning over eastern areas as the low moves eastward.
  On Sunday a trough of low pressure over Québec will move into the 
district in the evening.  Strong southwesterlies ahead of the trough 
will diminish to light to moderate and variable in its vicinity then 
increase to strong northwesterlies in its wake.  Northwest gales are 
forecast to develop over western sections Sunday evening.

  Marine interests are advised that a storm warning is in effect for 
the East Labrador Sea.  Gale warnings are in effect for all remaining 
waters except lake Melville.  Freezing spray warnings are in effect
For the Labrador Coast..South Labrador Sea western half and Northwest
Labrador Sea.
