Compliance Promotion

The compliance promotion activities occurring in the Prairie and Northern Region include more than what is traditionally thought of as compliance promotion for regulatory instruments. Two examples of such instruments are the Environmental Emergencies Plans and the Pollution Prevention Plans.

The term Environmental Protection Promotion (EP Promotion) captures a broad range of activities that include:

• control instrument development
• compliance promotion activities
• enforcement support by Canadian Environmental Protection Act (CEPA) analysts.
