Notice No. SMSE-003-06 - CS-03 Part VIII, Issue 9, Amendment 2

Notice is hereby given that Industry Canada is releasing Amendment 2 to Issue 9 of Compliance Specification 03, Part VIII.

This amendment introduces the following changes to Part VIII of CS-03:

• all technical requirements applicable to xDSL equipment connected at the U-C interface point have been removed;
  
  
• the total transmitted power allowed for Extended SHDSL equipment has been increased from 13.5 dBm to 14 dBm; and
  
  
• Section 1.6, Deployment Guidelines, has been moved to Appendix A.

Amendment 2 to Issue 9 of CS-03 will come into effect upon publication of this notice.

Interested parties should submit their comments within 75 days of the date of publication of this notice. Shortly after the close of the comment period, all comments received will be posted on Industry Canada's Spectrum Management and Telecommunications Web site at: http://strategis.gc.ca/spectrum.

All submissions should cite the Canada Gazette, Part I, the publication date, the title, and the notice reference number (SMSE-003-06).
