Only a portion of the Akwesasne Mohawk reserve is situated in Quebec. Administratively speaking, this community is under the responsability of the Ontario regional office (INAC).

 

Status Indians of the Indian communities are registered under the Indian Act. Consequently, we are able to determine their place of residence. Source: Indian Register, Department of Indian Affairs and Northern Development (December 31, 2004).
