Community Resources

Environment Canada offers many ways for Canadians to take action in protecting and preserving the environment. Check out the menu below for information on funding for community-based activities, tools for launching an environmental project, or nominate a local hero for demonstrating environmental citizenship. Additionally, participate in the Great Art for Great Lakes Challenge, or as a member on one of the public advisory committees. If wildlife interests you, become an official Wildlife Watcher and register in one of the monitoring programs, or enroll in Skywatchers and learn about the science of meteorology.
