Notice No. SMSE-001-03 - Requirements and Test Methods for Very High-Bit-Rate Digital Subscriber Line (VDSL) Terminal Equipment, Issue 1 (Provisional)

Notice is hereby given that Industry Canada is releasing the document, Requirements and Test Methods for Very High-Bit-Rate Digital Subscriber Line (VDSL) Terminal Equipment, Issue 1 (Provisional) January 2003. The release of this document makes VDSL terminal equipment eligible for Declaration of Conformity and registration under the Terminal Attachment Programme. This document is effective upon publication of this notice and will remain in provisional status for a maximum of two years.

Interested parties should submit their comments within 75 days from the date of publication of this Notice. Shortly after the close of the comment period, all comments received will be posted on Industry Canada's Spectrum Management and Telecommunications Web site at: http://strategis.gc.ca/spectrum.

Submitting Comments

Respondents are requested to provide their comments in electronic format (WordPerfect, Microsoft Word, Adobe PDF or ASCII TXT) to the following e-mail address: telecom.reg@ic.gc.ca along with a note specifying the software, version number and operating system used.

Written submissions should be addressed to the Deputy Director, Telecommunication Engineering and Certification, Industry Canada, 300 Slater Street, Ottawa, Ontario, K1A 0C8.

All submissions should cite the Canada Gazette, Part I, publication date, the title, and the notice reference number (SMSE-001-03).
