There are many different environmental issues present in schools that teachers and students may not even be aware of.  Toxic chemicals that are poured down the sink in a science lab may end up affecting the ecological integrity of the Lakes; parents idling their engines in the school parking lot as they wait to pick up their children could be contributing to harmful air emissions leading to smog; pesticides in the schoolyard could be leaching through the soil into the water table and affecting reproduction in local fish and birds.

Please click on one of the links below to find out what types of environmental issues may affect your school, and what kinds of actions you can take to help lighten your school’s ecological footprint!
