FQCN20 CWHX 100658
Marine synopsis for the Maritimes issued by Environment Canada
At 3.00 AM AST Sunday 10 December 2006.

A ridge of high pressure over Newfoundland will continue to move
away from the district this morning as a trough of low pressure
approaches the district from the west. The trough will move to lie
over Newfoundland overnight. Moderate to strong southwesterlies
behind the ridge increase to strong to gale force west to
southwesterlies ahead of the trough. Winds shift to strong
northwesterlies behind the trough and weaken on Monday as a ridge of
high pressure begins to build in from the northwest. Over the gulf
of st. Lawrence winds will increase to strong to gale force
northwesterlies Monday evening ahead of the approaching ridge.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
all marine areas.

Marine interests are also advised that a freezing spray warning has
been issued for Anticosti.
