Marine synopsis for Labrador issued by Environment Canada at 4.00 AM 
NST Sunday 10 December 2006.
The next scheduled synopsis will be issued at 9.30 AM.

  Strong to gale force northwesterlies over eastern waters will 
gradually diminish today as an intense low pressure system east of 
Greenland moves away from the district.
  A trough of low pressure over Québec this morning will move 
eastward during the day and will lie over the Labrador Sea this 
evening.  Generally moderate to strong southwesterlies are expected 
over most waters today ahead of the approaching trough.  Winds will 
shift to strong to gale force northwesterlies over western waters 
this evening in the wake of the trough.  Strong to gale force 
northwesterlies will spread to the remainder of the district on 
Monday as the trough moves slowly eastward across the district.

  Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for 
all marine waters.  Freezing spray warnings are in effect for the
South Labrador Sea western half..Northwest Labrador Sea..And all 
coastal waters.
