Preface

This second issue of RSS-192 replaced Issue 1 of RSS-192 (Provisional) dated November 6, 1999.

This document will be in force as of the publication date of Notice SMSE-001-04 in the Canada Gazette Part I. Upon publication, the public has 90 days to make comments. These comments will be taken into account in the preparation of the next version of the document.

Changes

The following are the main changes:

  1. This standard now only applies to FWA equipment in the frequency band 3450-3650 MHz. As a consequence of this, the title has been changed accordingly.

  2. The reference to the frequency band 3550-3700 MHz held in reserve (Section 3.3) has been removed.

  3. General reformat of the document.

  4. General information section has been updated (Section 2).

This Radio Standard Specification (RSS) sets out certification requirements for radio transmitters and receivers of fixed wireless access systems, including point-to-point applications in the band 3450 to 3650 MHz.
