Governance Structure
The Northern Ecosystem Initiative (NEI) is in its second five-year mandate
which began April 1st 2003 and ends March 31st 2008. The NEI National
Steering Committee sets program priorities and allocates block funding
to the Partner-Issue Tables including the Northern Quebec Regional Steering
Committee.
The long-term goal of NEI is to have funding partners at both the
national level (Steering Committee) and the Partner-Issue Table level.
Funding partners would include those capable of making a substantial
resource contribution (in-kind and/or financial). Potential partners
that can contribute a specialized perspective or expertise are also welcome
to participate in an advisory capacity.
