Environment Canada's North
Environment Canada's definition of the North goes beyond the traditional territorial North. The departmental definition of the North includes the Yukon, NWT, Nunavut, and Labrador territorial boundaries in conjunction with the eight northern primary ecozones, which include Arctic, Taiga, Cordillera and the Hudson Plains. This covers Yukon, Northwest Territories and Nunavut, the Hudson Bay Lowlands, northern Ontario, northern Quebec and Labrador.
