The intent of this circular is to provide general licensing policy
information to radio inspectors and other departmental
personnel for radiocommunication stations licensed in the
private commercial service, or one of its subordinate licensing
categories. Usually, these stations employ frequencies within the
bands allocated for fixed, mobile, land mobile, or radiodetermination
radiocommunication services.
Note: The duplicate use of the word service when
referring to licensing service and radiocommunication service can be
confusing. However, if licensing service is taken to mean licensing
category, the relationship between the two becomes clearer.
