PDF Format, 26 KB
Help to Access Documents

The Department of National Defence (DND) is responsible for the protection of national sovereignty and therefore requires access to the radio frequency spectrum. Section 5(1)(a)(i) of the Radiocommunication Act states that the Minister may issue radio licences with respect to radio apparatus. All radio licence applications from local DND personnel must be forwarded to the Department of National Defence Headquarters (HQ) DTSES 5 (Director Telecommunications Spectrum Engineering and Support 5) for coordination and approval prior to processing.
