1. National Highway System - Phase I

  • Project 1.1  Route 1, Colton Brook to Hampton
    Phase I:  construction of new 15.2 km highway alignment, of which the first 5.7 km will be a four-lane divided highway and remaining 9.5 km a new two-lane alignment
  • Project 1.2  Edmunston to St. Jacques - Phase III Trans-Canada Highway (TCH):  construction of approximately
    4 km of four-lane divided highway on a new alignment between Canada Road and Trout River, including the Edmundston/St. Jacques Interchange
  • Project 1.3  Grand Falls/Grand Sault Interchange (TCH):  construction of a grade separated interchange with the Trans-Canada Highway and the associated highway work in the vicinity of the Condon and Harley Hill Roads
  • Project 1.5  Jemseg to Mill Grove (TCH):  construction of approximately 10.5 km of new highway alignment
  • Project 1.6  Mapleton Road Interchange (TCH):  construction of grade separated interchange with the Trans-Canada Highway and the associated local highways near Mapleton Road
  • Project 1.7  Sackville to Nova Scotia Border
    Phase I (TCH):  twinning of approximately 5.3 km of existing highway between Sackville and Aulac, and construction of approximately 3.6 km of four-lane divided highway on a new alignment bypassing Aulac and continuing on to the Nova Scotia border, including an interchange at Route 2 and Route 16
  • Project 1.8  Route 7, Vanier Highway, Phase I:  twinning of approximately 6 km of the existing highway between the Trans-Canada Highway Interchange and the Vanier Industrial Drive, including a number of grade separated interchanges
  • Project 1.9  Route 7, Martinon Interchange to Route 1:  twinning of approximately 4.7 km of the existing highway between the Martinon Interchange and Route 100, and construction of 2.2 km of new four-lane divided highway to connect to Route 1, the Saint-John Throughway with a major interchange
  • Project 1.10  TCH, Iroquois Road Interchange:  construction of grade separated interchange with the Trans-Canada Highway and the construction, grading and paving of associated access road

2. Regional Primary Network

  • Project 2.1  Route 8, Tabusintac River to Route 360
    Phase II:  construction of 14.8 km of new highway alignment to connect with the Allardville to Bathurst section currently under construction under the Economic Regional Development Agreement (ERDA) Program, this project being the last link of new alignment between Tabusintac River to the existing Bathurst Bypass (Route 11), a distance of 31.2 km
  • Project 2.2  Route 8, Chatham Bridge to Route 450
    Phase II:  construction of 11.8 km of new highway alignment just north of the Chatham Bridge to connect to the upgrading work on Route 8, south of Route 450
  • Project 2.3  Route 8, Blackville to Renous/Route 420
    Phase II:  construction of a grade separated interchange with Route 420 at the north end of Millerton Bypass, and upgrading of approximately 5.4 km of existing Route 8 just south of the Millerton Bypass, between Blackville and Renous
  • Project 2.4  Route 11, Bathurst to Janeville
    Phase III:  construction of new highway alignment between Bathurst (at the junction with Route 8 and the Bathurst Bypass) and Janeville, a distance of 18 km
  • Project 2.5  Route 11, Barryville to Neguac
    Phase I:  upgrading existing highway alignment between Barryville and Neguac, a distance of approximately 12.6 km
  • Project 2.6  Route 17, St. Quentin to Kedgwick:  upgrading of approximately 18 km of existing highway between St. Quentin and Kedgwick
  • Project 2.7  Route 11, Tracadie-Sheila Bypass
    Phase I:  start construction of approximately 11 km of a new two-lane controlled access highway alignment between the Tracadie River and the Route 160 area
  • Project 2.8  Route 11, Tabusintac to Tracadie-Sheila Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA):  upgrading of approximately 17.4 km of the existing highway between the Tabusintac River and the Tracadie River
  • Project 2.9  Route 17, Saint-Quentin to Kedgwick
    Phase II (ACOA):  upgrading of approximately 5.6 km of the existing highway between Saint-Quentin and the Five Fingers Bridge
  • Project 2.10  Route 113, Shippagan to Lamèque (ACOA):  Improvements to the existing highway, including the causeway, between Shippagan and Lamèque, a distance of approximately 7.2 km
  • Project 2.11  Route 120 and Route 205 - Edmundston to St. Francois and Lac Baker areas, Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA):  improvements to various sections of Route 120 and Route 205 to improve traffic safety and efficiency
  • Project 2.12  Route 180, Bathurst to Saint-Quentin
    Phase I (ACOA):  improvements to various sections of Route 180 between Bathurst and Saint-Quentin
  • Project 2.13  Route 180, Bathurst to Saint-Quentin
    Phase II:  improvements to various sections of Route 180 between Bathurst and Saint-Quentin
  • Project 2.14  Route 11, Highway Rehabilitation:  resurfacing of approximately 4.5 km from Cambellton to Dalhousie at various sections to address ride quality, strength and safety defficiencies
  • Project 2.15  Route 11, Highway Rehabilitation:  resurfacing of approximately 2 km in Grand-Digue area of various sections to address ride quality, strength and safety efficiencies
  • Project 2.16  Route 180, Bathurst to Saint-Quentin - Phase III:  Improvements to various sections of Route 180 between Bathurst and Saint-Quentin
  • Project 2.17  Route 11, Tracadie-Sheila Bypass - Phase II:  continue construction of 11 km of two-lane highway to bypass the town of Tracadie-Sheila
  • Project 2.18  Newcastle, Chatham Highway:  completion of the Miramichi River and links to Route 8 and Route 126 and completion of two-lane alignment between Route 126 and Route 11 (11 km)
  • Project 2.19  Route 113, Inkerman to Shippagan:  upgrading of 7.7 km of existing highway
  • Project 2.20  Route 3, Upgrading and Rehabilitation:  improve curve alignment at Andersonville and pave various locations between Route 2 and Route 4 (11 km)
  • Project 2.21  Route 4 - Rehabilitation:  paving at various locations to correct deficiencies
  • Project 2.22  Route 8, Upgrading and Rehabilitation:  paving to correct deficiencies at various locations between Taymouth and Blackville and complete paving between Route 11 and the Ferry Road Interchange (25 km)
  • Project 2.23  Route 10, Upgrading and Rehabilitation:  replace Little River Bridge and pave various locations
  • Project 2.24  Route 11, Upgrading and Rehabilitation:  complete the construction of the Route 280 Interchange, continue upgrading Route 11 between Neguac and Tracadie-Sheila and paving to correct deficiencies at various locations (68 km)
  • Project 2.25  Route 17, Upgrading and Rehabilitation:  complete upgrading between Saint-Quentin and Kedgwick, pavement rehabilitation at various locations, and start upgrading between Robinsonville and Tide head (32 km)
  • Project 2.26  Route 180, Upgrading - Phase IV:  upgrading and chipsealing at various locations on Route 180
  • Project 2.27  Route 180, Bathurst to Saint-Quentin
    Phase III:  improvements to various sections of route 180 between Bathurst and Saint-Quentin.  This component is paid 100% by the Provincial Ministry of Transportation

    Phase II:  completion of approximately 8.6 km of new highway alignment connecting Route 1 at the Marr-Dolan Road Interchange to Route 111, the Loch Lomond Road at the Saint-John Airport
  • Project 3.2  Moncton's Wheeler Boulevard
    Phase V:  completion of Wheeler Boulevard; Construction of approximately 2 km of new highway alignment between Connaught Avenue and the connection to Halls Creek traffic circle at Botsford Street, including major structures and interchange connections at Connaught Avenue and Archibald Street, a structure at Church Street, an underpass of the double track CN line and two crossings at Halls Creek.

  • Project 7.3  Route 2, at Quebec Border (ACOA):  realignment of traffic lane for vehicles entering New Brunswick from Quebec, and associated intersection improvements, to improve traffic safety and efficiency
  • Project 7.4  Route 1, Paving (ACOA):  resurfacing of various sections to address ride quality, strength and safety deficiencies

    Saint-Basile from the Fournier Road to the Lang Road area and construction of grade separations at the Saint-Basile Indian Reserve and the Fournier Road
  • Project 8.3  Route 2, Sussex to Petitcodiac (SCII):  start construction of approximately 17.3 km of the new four-lane highway alignment from the Cougle Road area in Sussex to the Gray Road area and twinning of approximately 2 km in the Five Points area
  • Project 8.4  Route 1, Lepreau Bypass - Phase II:  complete construction of a combination of new four-lane and two-lane highway (7.3 km)
  • Project 8.5  Route 2, Scoudouc to Sackville:  continue construction of 30.6 km of four-lane facilities
  • Project 8.6  Route 7, Peterville Hill:  complete construction of new four-lane alignment (5.5 km) and interchange
  • Project 8.7  Route 15, Cap-Pelé Bypass:  continue construction of 13.1 km of new two-lane highway to bypass Cap-Pelé

    Saint-Jacques:  complete construction of 6.5 km of twinning existing Route 2, reconstruct curves on existing two-lane and construct parallel service roads
  • Project 9.2  Route 2 (TCH), Saint-Basile to
    Saint-Leonard:  complete construction of 31 km
    of new four-lane highway between Saint-Basile and
    Saint-Leonard; construct a grade separation over Route 2 at the Madawaska First Nation Reserve in Saint-Basile
  • Project 9.3  Route 2 (TCH), Saint-Leonard to Grand Falls:  complete construction of 17 km of new four-lane highway including a major river crossing over the
    Saint-John River at Grand Falls
  • Project 9.4  Route 2, Perth, Andover Bypass:  complete construction of 7.5 km of twinning the existing Route 2
  • Project 9.5  Route 2, Hodgdon Road Interchange:  complete construction of an interchange at Hodgdon Road and 2.2 km twinning of existing Route 2
  • Project 9.6  Route 2, Woodstock to Pokiok:  complete construction of 33 km of a new four-lane highway including major structures to cross Eel River and Shogomoc River
  • Project 9.7  Route 2, Sussex Bypass:  start construction of 5.5 km of twinning on existing Route 2 including river crossings over the Kennebecasis River
  • Project 9.8  Highway and Bridge Rehabilitation:  paving existing Route 2 and bridge deck rehabilitation at various locations
  • Project 9.9  Route 1, Route 3 to Waweig:  continue construction of approximately 14.5 km of new four-lane highway from Route 3 in St. Stephen to Route 127 at Waweig
  • Project 9.10  Route 1, Norton to Sussex:  complete construction of approximately 15.2 km of new four-lane highway between Norton and Sussex
  • Project 9.11  Route 2, Petitcodiac to Riverglade:  complete construction of approximately 5.9 km of a new four-lane highway between the Route 905 interchange in Petitcodiac and existing Route 2 at Riverglade
  • Project 9.12  Route 1, Pennfield Corner Interchange:  construction of an interchange, grade separation, and the connecting roadways on Route 1 at the Intersection of Routes 176, 178 and 785
