Equipment and Resources

The full Sky Watchers resource kit includes 5 basic weather instruments along with a selection of printed material, including a teacher’s guide, plus one year’s registration in the program. It isn’t necessary to purchase the kit to participate in the Sky Watchers program. Many schools already have weather instruments or can acquire them from other sources. Further, much of the printed material is already available on the Internet, including the complete teacher's guide.  To participate online, a small registration fee is required, and this fee is waived in subsequent years if your school remains active in the program.

The first table below shows both the actual instruments supplied in the kit and the minimum recommended to derive the most benefit from this program.
