What’s the number one location to set up and operate a business? It’s Atlantic Canada, according to a new study by the consulting firm KPMG that compares business costs in the Atlantic region, Canada as a whole, the United States and five European countries.

Of 42 cities examined in the seven countries, the four least costly business locations, in order of ranking are: St. John’s, Newfoundland; Halifax, Nova Scotia; Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island; and Moncton, New Brunswick.
