Innovation in Atlantic Canada
The study entitled "Innovation in Atlantic Canada" was prepared by Yves Bourgeois and Samuel LeBlanc of the Canadian Institute for Research on Regional Development. This policy research study, which received financial support from the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency, is yet another example of the Agency's efforts to advance the innovation agenda and improve economic development in the region.
In general, it illustrates the importance of innovation in Atlantic Canada and the relatively good performance of industries in the region. It also supports many of the Government of Canada's initiatives to promote innovation, and proposes a model for integrating the various components of the innovation system in the region.
