If you are a skilled worker interested in working in Prince Edward Island you must find employment by yourself. The Government of Prince Edward Island does not provide assistance to find employment opportunities. However, two electronic options are in place to assist you: you may register with the TechPEI Jobs Board, or search the Prince Edward Island Business Directory. When you have accessed the Business Directory, search the Directory by business type to identify companies to whom you might apply, and contact those which appear promising. When the position has been offered the company will initiate the process of acquiring a work permit. If you are a business interested in employing a foreign skilled worker you are advised to contact Service Canada at the link provided below to request a Labour Market Opinion that the position you seek to fill cannot be filled from the current labour pool. When this is received, The identified individual makes application for a Work Permit from Citizenship and Immigration Canada; the individual sends a copy of a job offer letter from your company along with the application for the work permit. When this is received the individual may begin work.
