TDC hosted a meeting of the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) G-12 Ice Detection Standard Working Group, an expert subcommittee of the Ice Detection Subcommittee on March 28-30, 2006. The working group met to review and revise proposed performance standards for remote ground ice detection systems. Members are drawn from airlines, aircraft and equipment manufacturers, pilot associations, civil aviation authorities, and research centres from around the world. TDC Senior Development Officer Frank Eyre chaired the meeting.
