The ITS R&D; program centres on applications of electronic, computer, and communications technology that promise to increase the safety and productivity of Canada's transportation system. This multimodal program includes technology monitoring and assessment, development of standards, operational evaluations, and field tests designed to encourage the deployment of ITS technology.
