Foster Care

Where can I find information on the Foster Care Program?

The Foster Care Program provides day-to-day care for children who are in the custody and/or guardianship of the provincial director of child welfare, temporarily or permanently, voluntarily or through court order. Foster care providers are recruited, screened and assessed, trained, supported and supervised to ensure the safety and well being of the child. Foster care providers are individual contractors remunerated in accordance with provincial program standards.
